Along with my dedicated team, I planned and organized an evening of TED Talks specifically geared towards the Tisch Community entitled

 TISCH: COMMUNITY TALKS

Check out the description for the event below:

These flowers were handed out to students post Amanda Palmer's Talk "The Art of Asking" to symbolize Amanda Palmer's flowers which she used to give to strangers or people who passed her by in the city. Students were encouraged to hand out these paper flowers to a stranger or friend that they pass while walking in the city in order to have a brief moment of connection.

Experience the magic of TED first hand!

TEDxNYU will be hosting Community Talks: Tisch on May 1st 6:30-8:30 at the Dean's Conference Room, 12th floor 721 Broadway.

We will be screening three brief TED talks that are specifically geared towards artists, focusing on creativity, identity, and storytelling.

Featuring:

"The Power of Vulnerability" by Brené  Brown
"The Art of Asking" by Amanda Palmer
"The Clues to a Great Story" by Andrew Stanton

Following the screenings, students are invited to engage in thought-provoking discussions as well as participate in fun activities that relate to the talks. There will also be delicious food! So what are you waiting for?
